Catering a venue with no kitchen
Warehouses, barns and backyards can all be catered. What they need is power, water, a flat place for the kitchen and an honest look at the access.
Questions about your own event? Call (804) 555-0152 and a person answers.
Half the venues we work in have no kitchen at all. That is fine, as long as four questions get answered before anyone signs the contract.
Is there power
A field kitchen needs two 20-amp circuits for warmers and coffee, or a generator. Ask the venue which outlets are on separate circuits.
Is there water
Not drinking water, washing water. A hose and a sink somewhere on site saves hauling it in and saves you a dishwashing charge.
Where does the kitchen go
We need a flat, covered space of about ten by twenty feet, close to the room but out of sight. A loading bay, a tent or a side room all work.
How do things get in
Stairs, gravel and narrow doors change how we carry. Send a photo of the route from the parking to the room and we will tell you what it costs, if anything.
What we bring
Warmers, a plating station, coolers and our own trash removal. You do not need to rent a kitchen, only to tell us what the venue has.
Need a hand with this one? A person answers, seven days a week.
